Created in 1997 and a pioneer in French whisky, Celtic Whisky Compagnie (CWCie) is one of the most successful distilleries in France.
It was founded in the heart of the Trégor region, on the north coast of Brittany, by two enthusiasts, Jean and Martine Donnay. The climate and the fact that the distillery and the cellars are only a few metres from the sea, make the whiskies unique in France.
Gwalarn is the first premium Celtic blend in the world. It is produced in France with the same high standards of quality and spirit as the prestigious single malts produced by the Celtic Whisky Distillery.
For this unique blend, Jean-Sébastien Robicquet, founder of Maison Villevert, and Aël Guegan, Distiller and Cellar Master of Celtic Whisky Distillery, have selected and brought together the complexity of a Scotch whisky with the character of a Germanic whisky and the finesse of the French single malts from our distillery.
