This great cultural festival (7,000 festival-goers and 30 concerts), of which Isabelle Robicquet – Mr Robicquet’s wife – is president, has brought together all the audiences of the two Charentes regions around the piano every year for nearly thirty years, and represents a real sign of the cultural vitality of our region. Beyond the traditional audience of such a festival, Piano en Valois is also aimed at schoolchildren – recitals are organised for pupils in certain communes – and at audiences from various backgrounds through a dozen educational concerts and a recital in the Angoulême prison.
