Kornog Whisky

Founded in 1997, the Celtic Whisky Compagnie (CWC) is one of France’s best-known distilleries and a pioneer of French whisky. The distillery was established by two true connoisseurs, Jean and Martine Donnay, in the heart of Trégor, on the north coast of Brittany. The climate and location of the distillery and cellars, justa few metres from the sea, produce unique French  whiskies.

Kornog Whisky

La Distillerie produit deux types de Whiskies

The distillery produces two types of whisky: Glann Ar Mor, an unpeated whisky aged in Bourbon barrels; and Kornog, a peated variety (40 ppm of phenols) that rivals itsprestigious Scottish counterparts.

Kornog Bourbon Barrel is a single malt with a distinctly peaty character. On the nose, it presents a bouquet of aromas from lemon peel to beeswax, enhanced with a touch of vanilla. It is perfectly balanced in the mouth, blending the smokiness of peat with fruit and spices (ginger, white pepper); the result of patient ageing.
