Underpinned by a centuries-old pedigree in artisanship and in-depth knowledge in the world of wines and spirits, Maison Villevert was founded by Jean-Sébastien Robicquet 20 years ago…
Proud to have grown and prospered by remaining faithful to their original intentions: craftsmen (with equal numbers of women and men) whose know-how is at the service of their products, ambassadors of their region, anchored in the vine and the grape, the malt and the peat, open to a world in perpetual movement.
But Maison Villevert is not just about impressive statistics. Above all, it is about the achievements of people: the 80 women and men who make up the highly talented teams and who are proud to have contributed to Maison Villevert’s rapid expansion… while remaining true to the company’s original ethos and values. These dedicated and highly skilled artisans are also ambassadors for their region: their knowledge is firmly rooted – whether in the vines and their grapes or malt and peat – but their vision is global, as is their awareness of the constant evolution in the world of spirits.
The international accolades, awards and medals span the entire range of Maison Villevert’s creations. (Since 2008, in particular, the number of awards has grown exponentially.) Some notable successes: G’Vine gin launched to immediate acclaim being awarded a gold and a platinum medal by the Beverage Tasting Institute. Excellia tequila received a gold medal in the 2010 San Francisco World Spirits Competition and was awarded five stars with the accolade “outstanding” in Difford’s Guide. June gin liqueur was awarded a gold medal by the Beverage Tasting Institute in 2010. The vermouth La Quintinye Vermouth Royal was recommended among the “best spirits of the year” in the Wine & Spirits magazine in 2015 and received the accolade “extraordinary – ultimate recommendation” in the 2016 Ultimate Sprits Challenge. La Guilde du Cognac was awarded two gold medals in the World Spirits Competition in 2018, and also in the same year, June ‘peach and summer fruits’ received a gold medal at the New York Wine & Spirits Competition. The more recently launched Nouaison reserve gin received the accolade “excellent – highly recommended” in the 2020 Ultimate Spirits Challenge.
