The sour version spiced rum

The Bonny Sour is a refined take on the classic sour, combining Anne Bonny™ spiced rum with lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white (or aquafaba) for a frothy texture and the perfect balance of tartness and sweetness.

After a double shake, it is served in a cocktail glass and enhanced with lemon zest, a cinnamon stick and an edible purple flower for a captivating visual.

Ingredients

Bonny Sour

Preparation

Add all the ingredients and shake vigorously.

Fill your shaker ¾ full with ice cubes and shake again.

Double strain into a cocktail glass.

Garnish with a lemon zest, a cinnamon stick, and a purple edible flower.

Tip: To replace egg white, you can use aquafaba.

A sour with a strong character

A balanced and elegant cocktail, where Anne Bonny™ spiced rum combines with lemon, sugar and a creamy touch of egg white (or aquafaba) for a velvety texture.

Fancy a creamy sour cocktail? Start by shaking the egg white alone, at room temperature, in your shaker. This creates a nice emulsion. Only then should you add the other ingredients and ice last: this prevents the cold from solidifying the egg white and creating a grainy texture.
