Facilities and technical capabilities

The Robicquet family is cited among the founders of the Cognac trade from 1580 and 1640 by the Annuaire Bérauld published in 1892. A source of inspiration, even on a more industrial level. Since 2001, Maison Villevert has relied on the
steam distillation technique to extract the quintessence of grape alcohol. To develop its creations, Maison Villevert practices several highly technical distillation methods that call upon specific know-how.

It is in the Florentine still that Maison Villevert carries out the most delicate aromatic extractions of the most precious plants and spices (a very delicate step that allows the aromas to be captured) which will be used in the production of alcohols, particularly to flavor gins. The most telling example is undoubtedly the aromatic extraction carried out on the vine flower and which allows the famous G'Vine gin to be flavored. This step is carried out in a still, called "Florentine", inspired by the stills used by perfumers in Grasse. Once a year, in June, a magical phenomenon occurs in the vineyards: the ephemeral vine flower blooms, delicately awakened by the sun. A unique and captivating fragrance, blending fruits and flowers, emerges from the vines. The flower is delicately harvested by hand and then infused in neutral grape alcohol for a few days to extract its absolute quintessence. This infusion is then distilled in a small Florentine still. The result of this unique process is an alcohol with a wonderful aroma, a journey through the vineyards in full bloom.

The "hybrid" stills, the stills used by Maison Villevert were created by Jean-Sébastien Robicquet to meet our needs and not all are identical... One of these stills, for example, has the top of a Charentais still and a capital, in order to better preserve and develop the aromas of the gin. The other stills have a Moor's head and will be used to obtain the quality sought for Cîroc vodka.

Certified ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001 and Ecocert Bio, this partially geothermal energy site combines tradition and innovation to ship the equivalent of several million bottles worldwide each year, while remaining faithful to its original quality requirements and taking into consideration the impact of our activity on the environment. Maison Villevert regularly invests in this industrial tool by increasing production and storage capacities to meet the growth of the activity.

Importance of the sustainable production chain

A strong architectural vision, particular attention paid to gender parity, a local recruitment policy, ergonomic workstations and quality of life at work, this is also what Adéona is all about. The site has also developed a partnership with the renowned association l'Arche (whose mission is to enable people with intellectual disabilities to take their rightful place in society), in order to adapt workstations and work rhythms, giving life to this human project on welcoming difference. Adéona is one of the driving forces behind Maison Villevert's sustainability through an active environmental policy: measuring CO2 emissions, limiting water use, waste management avoiding any release into nature (waste sorted, recycled and recovered according to its nature) and ISO 22000 certification.
