Our sites: The Villevert House Heritage
Rooted in a living heritage, Maison Villevert boasts five iconic sites that embody the richness and diversity of its universe. From the Manoir de Villevert, the historic birthplace of the house, to Adeona, a 21st-century hub of production and innovation, each location tells a part of our story. Domaine du Pérat, Cognac Grosperrin in Saintes, and the Celtic Whisky Distillery in Brittany illustrate our commitment to combining heritage, excellence, and a sustainable vision in the creation of exceptional spirits.
The Villevert Manor
At the gates of Cognac, the Manoir de Villevert was built in 1528 by Jehan Robicquet, a close friend of François I. Since then, the Robicquet family has been involved in the development of the region and the town of Cognac, combining public engagement with entrepreneurial adventure.
A place steeped in history, the Manor House immerses visitors in the Renaissance era with its stone staircase, watchtower, and collection of antique objects. Now renovated, it houses four rooms dedicated to the expertise of Maison Villevert, illustrating the stages of creating its spirits.
This historic site is now the headquarters of the Maison Villevert Group.
Adeona
Adéona is the production and packaging center of Maison Villevert, near Cognac.
The 6,000 m² facility houses cellars, bottling lines, a distillery, a research and development laboratory, storage buildings, and administrative offices. Our teams develop, distill, blend, and package our spirits with unwavering rigor.
The Pérat wine estate
A few steps from the Manoir de Villevert, dating from 1696, the Pérat wine estate with its 40 hectares of vines in Petite and Grande Champagne is a wonderful preserved example of rural housing in Charente in the 17th century.
Celtic Whisky Distillery
In Pleubian, facing the ocean, on the north coast of Brittany at the end of the Sauvage peninsula not far from the islands of Jersey and Guernsey, is Celtic Whisky Distillerie, created in 1997 and installed in an old farm dating back to 1668.
A land of traditions, rich in numerous Breton and Celtic legends, this peninsula constitutes the ideal and unique setting for this artisanal distillery designed to produce whiskies whose quality and authenticity leave no room for compromise.
Grosperrin Cognac
Cognac Grosperrin is an independent, family-run house founded in the late 1990s by Jean Grosperrin, a former brandy broker. Now run by Guilhem Grosperrin, the house continues its rigorous selection of rare and ancient eaux-de-vie, representative of the history of cognac vintages. Located in Saintes, on the banks of the Charente River, it embodies a unique approach to cognac: that of a free agent, unattached to viticulture or distillation, dedicated exclusively to the art of identifying, acquiring, and aging exceptional cognacs. Each selected lot reflects a unique origin, age, and context, revealed without blending or artifice. At Grosperrin, cognac is a heritage to be preserved, of which the house humbly serves as its custodian.
