The character of Gwalarn in the classic Sour
The Gwalarn Sour revisits the classic Whisky Sour by bringing the cereal richness and subtly peaty of Gwalarn: a balanced cocktail, mixing whisky, fresh lemon juice, sugar syrup and egg white for a silky texture and a finish full of character.

Ingredients
Gwalarn Sour
- 50 ml Gwalarn Celtic Blend
- 20 ml lemon juice
- 20 ml sugar syrup
- 1 egg white
Preparation
Add all ingredients and shake vigorously. Fill your shaker ¾ full with ice cubes and shake again. Pour everything into a rocks glass filled with ice cubes.
Tip: To replace egg white, you can use aquafaba.

Why try this original version of the Whisky Sour?
With its unique balance of malty roundness and salty freshness, Gwalarn provides the perfect base for a subtle and expressive Whisky Sour. Where other whiskies can overpower or fade, Gwalarn brings just the right amount of character without overwhelming the citrus or egg white sweetness. The result: a harmonious, full-bodied, and elegant cocktail.
Fancy a creamy sour cocktail? Start by shaking the egg white alone, at room temperature, in your shaker. This creates a nice emulsion. Only then should you add the other ingredients and ice last: this prevents the cold from solidifying the egg white and creating a grainy texture.
