Description
Brand History:
The story of Excellia began in 2009, driven by a simple but bold ambition: to create a tasting tequila capable of rivaling the greatest cognacs and whiskies.
Behind this vision, Jean-Sébastien Robicquet, oenologist and master distiller, founder of Maison Villevert, Excellia Tequila redefines the world of tequila by combining Mexican traditions and French expertise. Made from Blue Weber agaves harvested at their peak, it is carefully distilled and aged in Sauternes and cognac barrels, achieving a perfect balance between tradition and innovation. Each bottle embodies passion and respect for the terroir, revealing subtle aromas. Created by passionate artisans, Excellia is much more than a tequila: it is a unique tasting experience.
Manufacturing method:
Excellia is crafted in the Tequila Valley, renowned for its Blue Weber agaves and red soils that extend around the Tequila Volcano, under the watchful eye of Doña Leticia Hermosillo, one of the few women to run an agave estate and distillery in Mexico. What makes Excellia unique is its artisanal production. Our carefully selected Blue Weber agaves are harvested at peak ripeness, slow-cooked in a traditional oven, and crushed using the Tahona method, a method that preserves all the aromatic richness. But what truly sets Excellia apart is its unique aging in Sauternes and Cognac barrels. This process gives our tequilas unparalleled smoothness, complexity, and elegance, earning them a place in the elite circle of exceptional spirits.
