Founded in 1997, Celtic Whisky Distillerie is one of the first French distilleries dedicated to whisky production. Located in Pleubian, on the north coast of Brittany, just a few meters from the sea, the oceanic climate gives the whiskies a unique marine character. A pioneer of French whisky, the distillery combines specific features that guarantee whisky production in the purest artisanal tradition: open flame heating, slow distillation, the use of traditional equipment such as two small pot stills and wooden fermenters, and, of course, seaside maturation. Thanks to its high standards of quality, it has become one of the most successful in France.

Manufacturing method:

Gwalarn Sherry Cream Cask Finish revisits the structure of the original blend, adding a unique twist: 8.5 months of maturation in casks that previously contained a blend of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez wines. This maturation by the sea, exposed to the Breton sea air, enriches the whisky with exceptional aromatic depth.

Tasting notes:

Nose: Gourmet, aromas of spices, vanilla, cereals with smoky notes.

Palate: Beautiful roundness, peppery and spicy, notes of rancio and nuts, honey and tangy apple.

Finish: Good hold and length in the mouth, the cereal notes are very present, subtle hint of peat.
