Description
Brand History:
Saint-Germain-de-Vibrac is located on the wooded hillsides of the Petite Champagne cru. This terroir, with its chalky soil, provides the best conditions for producing refined and elegant cognacs. Harvested in 2007 following a turbulent summer, the wines are distilled on lees in a small copper still. The eaux-de-vie are then aged in large-grained oak barrels, maturing and capturing the very essence of this village. The production of 42% ABV Petite Champagne cognac is distinguished by an artisanal approach that highlights the specificities of its unique terroir.
Production method:
La Guilde du Cognac adopts an artisanal and terroir-focused approach by selecting a single village and an independent distiller for each cru. Each Cognac, including the 42% ABV Petite Champagne cognac, is a blend sourced exclusively from this single cru, reflecting the distiller's traditional expertise and the unique characteristics of their terroir. Local vinification, double distillation in Charentais stills, and aging in oak barrels in the village of origin: this parcel-based method highlights the pure and singular identity of each territory. By choosing a 42% ABV Petite Champagne cognac, you are tasting a product that is the result of meticulous and passionate work.
