Description
Brand History:
The spirit of Grosperrin cognacs is based on the desire to bear witness to the Charente heritage without artifice. Guilhem Grosperrin, a true cognac artisan, travels the appellation's lands each year in search of confidential lots and family heirlooms. In their restored 19th-century cellar in Saintes, the cognacs are aged as unique works, faithfully reflecting a terroir, a plot, a vintage, and a history.
Where some blend batches from different origins to create quality products, Grosperrin Cognacs craft intrinsically unique and rare cognacs, recognizable among all.
Manufacturing Method:
This vintage cognac comes from the private stocks of a
sworn broker, who had the opportunity to purchase this batch of around ten barrels. This 27-year-old Bon Bois came under state control shortly after its distillation, where it spent most of its aging, until Grosperrin bought it a few years ago.
Nose: Notes of candied, almost roasted fruit, with a salty touch that makes it pleasant
Palate: A warm and delicious finesse, which reveals all the aromas perceived.
Finish: A slight salinity that prolongs the tasting.
