Description
Brand History:
The spirit of Grosperrin cognacs is based on the desire to bear witness to the Charente heritage without artifice. Guilhem Grosperrin, a true cognac artisan, travels the appellation's lands each year in search of confidential lots and family heirlooms. In their restored 19th-century cellar in Saintes, the cognacs are aged as unique works, faithfully reflecting a terroir, a plot, a vintage, and a history.
Where some blend batches from different origins to create quality products, Grosperrin Cognacs craft intrinsically unique and rare cognacs, recognizable among all.
Manufacturing Method:
This old cognac is the result of a blend of different cognacs, among the oldest eaux-de-vie from Grosperrin.
They had been selected to be bottled in single barrels, before it was decided to create a quality representative of the best of Grande Champagne, emblematic of Charente know-how.
Nose: Marked by a pronounced and elegant rancio.
Palate: A smooth and rich texture where complex notes of
cinnamon and leather.
Finale: A very long finale.
