Description

Brand History:

Nestled between woods and vineyards, Saint-Preuil is one of the finest expressions of the Grande Champagne terroir, the appellation's premier cru. The attention and expertise required to perfectly age the cognacs in this Grande Champagne blend are complex. Each of the 1990, 1996, and 2004 eaux-de-vie was slowly aged in French oak barrels to allow the wood's tannins to infuse their aromas and color. The result is a complex and powerful aromatic palette. This Extra is the ultimate signature of the Single Village collection.

Manufacturing Method:

The Cognac Guild adopts an artisanal and terroir-based approach by selecting a single village and an independent distiller for each vintage. Each Cognac is a blend made exclusively from this unique vintage, reflecting the distiller's traditional expertise and the specific characteristics of their terroir. Local vinification, double distillation in a Charente still, and aging in oak barrels in the village of origin: this parcel-by-parcel method highlights the pure and unique identity of each region.
