Brand History:

Created in 1997, Celtic Whisky Distillerie is one of the pioneers of French whisky. Located in Pleubian, on the northern coast of Brittany, it crafts single malts with a unique character, shaped by an exceptional maritime environment.

Faithful to the traditions of 19th-century Scottish distilleries, the distillery oversees every stage of production: selection of malted barley, fermentation in wooden vats, slow distillation over an open flame in small copper stills, and maturation by the sea. These conditions give the whiskies an iodine-rich signature and great aromatic complexity.

Through its research into aging and the influence of casks, Celtic Whisky Distillerie has developed a unique approach to double maturation, which serves as a true expression of its expertise.

Production Method:

Glann Ar Mor Pineau Finish is a single malt resulting from an initial maturation in American oak casks, followed by a finishing period in Pineau des Charentes casks.

This double maturation, lasting more than six years, creates a unique encounter between the maritime character of Brittany and the fruity, vinous aromas of the Charente terroir.

Drawn from a single cask, this whisky is offered as a limited edition of 563 hand-numbered bottles, guaranteeing its rare and exclusive nature.

Tasting Notes:

Color: Golden and luminous, with brilliant highlights

Nose: Indulgent and fruity, dominated by notes of grapes, evolving towards dried fruits (apricot, fig) with a subtle touch of rancio, supported by cereals and a hint of salinity

Palate: Soft and round attack, marked by dried fruits and honey, evolving towards cereal notes, with a beautiful saline tension

Finish: Long and persistent, an elegant and balanced saline signature
