Description

Brand history:

Cherves-Richemont, located north of the town of Cognac, is a mosaic of plots
Interspersed with forests and hills, this village perfectly embodies the unique character of the smallest cru in the Cognac region. Representing barely 5% of the vineyard, the cognacs from Borderies are renowned for their complexity and depth of flavor.
The year 2010 benefited from consistent weather throughout the seasons, allowing for a harvest of fully ripe grapes at the end of September. Distilled using traditional methods and then aged in a selection of casks from different coopers, with varying toasting levels and grain sizes, these eaux-de-vie offer a rich and complex aromatic profile.

Manufacturing method:

The Cognac Guild adopts an artisanal and terroir-focused approach, selecting a single village and an independent distiller for each cru. Each Cognac is a blend made exclusively from this single cru, reflecting the distiller's traditional expertise and the unique characteristics of their terroir. Local winemaking, double distillation in Charentais stills, and aging in oak barrels in the village of origin: this plot-by-plot method highlights the pure and singular identity of each territory.
