Description
Brand History:
The village of Lorignac is located in the Cru Fins Bois region near the Gironde estuary. This geographical location gives the Cognac its freshness and minerality. This location gives its young eaux-de-vie a certain freshness and minerality that are unique to it.
The year 2011 is known for its particularly high temperatures, leading to early harvests.
These conditions will favor the fruity aromatic bouquet of Lorignac, evoking summer fruits.
Small in size with significant agricultural activity, the village of Lorignac is characteristic of this vintage.
Its name comes from the Latin "Villa de Bacchus" which clearly illustrates the importance of wine for this town, and has been for centuries.
Manufacturing Method:
The Cognac Guild adopts an artisanal and terroir-based approach by selecting a single village and an independent distiller for each vintage. Each Cognac is a blend made exclusively from this unique vintage, reflecting the distiller's traditional expertise and the specific characteristics of their terroir. Local vinification, double distillation in a Charente still, and aging in oak barrels in the village of origin: this parcel-by-parcel method highlights the pure and unique identity of each region.
