Created in 1997, Celtic Whisky Distillerie is one of the first French distilleries dedicated to crafting whiskies. In Pleubian, on the northern coast of Brittany, just a few meters from the sea, the oceanic climate gives the whiskies a unique maritime character. A pioneer of French whisky, the distillery brings together specific features that guarantee whisky production in the purest artisanal tradition: open-flame heating, slow distillation, the presence of traditional equipment such as two small "Pot Still" stills and wooden fermenters, and, of course, aging by the seaside. Thanks to its high standards of quality, it has become one of the most awarded in France.

Born from the blending of whiskies of Celtic origins, Gwalarn brings together the complexity of a Scotch whisky with the character of a Germanic whisky and the finesse of the French single malts from our distillery.
Slowly reduced with water from the distillery's spring, Gwalarn is a complex, authentic, and bold blend that is part of the collection of exceptional French whiskies from Celtic Whisky Distillerie.

Tasting Note:

Nose: Rich and elegant, with distinct notes of cereal, ripe fruit, and vanilla, on a peaty background reminiscent of Kornog.
Palate: The promise perceived on the nose is fulfilled with a frank and lively attack, supported by the slightly peaty character. The suppleness of vanilla and honey provides a lovely creaminess mid-palate.
Finish: Ample and unique, the peat, supported by cereals, reveals pleasant saline notes.
