Founded in 1997, Celtic Whisky Distillerie is one of the first French distilleries dedicated to crafting whisky. Located in Pleubian, on the north coast of Brittany, just a few meters from the sea, the oceanic climate gives the whiskies a unique maritime character. A pioneer of French whisky, the distillery brings together specific features that ensure whisky production in the purest artisanal tradition: open-flame heating, slow distillation, the presence of traditional equipment such as two small "Pot Still" stills and wooden fermenters, and, of course, aging by the seaside. Thanks to its commitment to quality, it has become one of the most awarded in France.

Production Method:

Gwalarn Sherry Cream Cask Finish revisits the structure of the original blend by adding a unique touch: an 8.5-month finishing period in casks that previously held a blend of Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez wines. This seaside maturation, exposed to the Breton sea air, enriches the whisky with exceptional aromatic depth. This French sherry cask whisky stands out for its complex notes and rich palate.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Indulgent, aromas of spices, vanilla, cereals with smoky notes.

Palate: Beautiful roundness, peppery and spicy, notes of rancio and walnut, honey and tart apple.

Finish: Good persistence and length on the palate, cereal notes are well present, subtle hint of peat. This French sherry cask whisky has a beautiful complexity that will delight connoisseurs.
