Brand History:
Founded in 1997, Celtic Whisky Distillerie is one of the first French distilleries dedicated to whisky production. Located in Pleubian, on the north coast of Brittany, just a few meters from the sea, the oceanic climate gives the whiskies a unique marine character. A pioneer of French whisky, the distillery combines specific features that guarantee whisky production in the purest artisanal tradition: open flame heating, slow distillation, the use of traditional equipment such as two small pot stills and wooden fermenters, and, of course, seaside maturation. Thanks to its high standards of quality, it has become one of the most successful in France.
Manufacturing method:
Gwalarn Pure Malt is a premium 100% malt Celtic blend. It combines the uniqueness of several malt whiskies aged in Scotland and Germany with the finesse of our French malts, before being slowly reduced with spring water.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Complex, rich and intense
Palate: The promise perceived on the nose is kept with a frank and lively attack, supported by the slightly peaty character. The suppleness of vanilla and honey provides a beautiful smoothness on the mid-palate.
Finish : Persistent length, fine and elegant aromas
