Description
Brand History:
Grosperrin Cognac Pineau des Charentes (muté) is crafted from white or red grape must and Cognac, all sourced exclusively from the same family estate. The history of these fortified musts is steeped in tradition, as local winemakers often set aside a few barrels from their production for personal consumption, allowing them to enjoy flavors that have aged for several decades. These lots, often preserved from generation to generation, are precisely what we seek out.
Production Method:
The Grosperrin MMC 3, a rare Cognac-fortified must, was produced several decades ago near Matha. Stored in old barrels engraved "Narbonne," this lot bears witness to a strong family tradition and exceptional expertise. This Grosperrin Cognac-fortified must reveals a pastry-like and fruity nose, with delicate scents of frangipane, candied fruits such as apricot, white fig, and bitter orange, enriched by complex rancio notes. On the palate, its vinous sweetness blends with rare complexity, offering a rich profile appreciated by connoisseurs.
Nose: Pastry and fruity notes reveal slightly musky nuances, attesting to the great age of this Cognac-fortified must.
Palate: The sweetness and vinous character stand out initially with notes of frangipane and warm croissant. Rancio notes mingle within this illusion of freshness, offering a unique tasting experience. Candied fruits, such as apricot, white fig, and bitter orange, contribute to an exceptionally complete and rare aromatic profile.
Finish: The finish proves intense with a rare balance between freshness and sweetness, enriched by exotic notes, ensuring remarkable finesse.

FAQs
