Guilhem Grosperrin, a true cognac artisan, travels the lands of the appellation every year in search of confidential lots and family legacies. In their restored 19th-century cellar in Saintes, the cognacs are raised like unique works of art, a faithful reflection of a terroir, a plot of land, a vintage, and a story.
While some blend lots from different origins to create quality products, Cognacs Grosperrin crafts inherently unique and rare cognacs that are unmistakable.

Production Method:

This vintage Cognac comes from a family of notaries established in Cognac for several generations. This 1973 Petite Champagne was part of the estate of the father, who had bequeathed his stocks to his wife and son, also a notary. The father had purchased this lot in January 1974 from one of his clients, who was at the time the president of one of the most important Cognac Houses. This lot therefore originates from the distillery and cellars of a house still renowned today. Unfortunately, upon the father's death, the son and his mother could no longer agree, and the estate became bogged down for many years, until we proposed a solution. This is a very "sentimental" Cognac, which was stored under state supervision on January 28, 1974, in an old and very damp cellar located on the banks of the Charente, which has since become the Cognac Museum.
