Guilhem Grosperrin, a true cognac artisan, travels the lands of the appellation every year in search of exclusive lots and family legacies. In their restored 19th-century cellar in Saintes, the cognacs are aged as unique works, acting as a faithful reflection of a terroir, a plot, a vintage, and a story.
Where some blend lots from different origins to create quality products, Grosperrin Cognacs craft inherently unique and rare cognacs that are unmistakable.

Production Method:

This remarkable lot is one of the very few in the Grosperrin collection to come from a merchant-distiller. This major, renowned house, long owned by a Japanese spirits group, offloaded a few casks of old cognac for unknown reasons. This highly confidential transaction was carried out through a sworn broker. This extremely rare lot, consisting of two casks, holds undeniable interest, although we cannot guarantee that it has never been blended.

Nose: Burst of exotic fruits, linden honey, intense chalky aromas, old wood, and rancio.
Palate: Direct, oily, and lively attack, with superb aromatic clarity between pure rancio, wax, and cooked fruits.
Finish: Very long, full, and dense, a mineral conclusion of great elegance.
